Salary ranges for a BIM manager in India stands at ₹15 lakh to ₹30 lakh plus per year. This naturally varies according to how many years you have been on the job, which city you’re in, what kind of company you work for, and honestly, what your actual day-to-day looks like.

Pay data from 2026 is all over the place depending on the source. Some reports put average base pay near ₹12 LPA, while other benchmarks from the same year show BIM Managers and Leads with 10+ years pulling in ₹15 to ₹35 LPA.

Salary Breakdown by Experience

For experience of 3 to 6 years, most people are looking at ₹7 to ₹12 LPA. At this point you’re probably not a full BIM Manager yet. You’re more likely a Senior BIM Engineer, a Coordinator, or leading a discipline team.
For experience of 6 or 9 years, salary ranges from ₹10 to ₹18 LPA for senior and lead roles. Some people step into actual management during this stretch, though it really depends on the project and how much team responsibility gets handed to them.
Once you cross 10 years, ₹15 to ₹30 LPA (sometimes more) is what shows up most often for BIM Manager and Lead titles. By now the job isn’t just modeling. You’re setting BIM standards, running teams, handling coordination, and owning the BIM process at a project level.
And yes, salaries beyond ₹30 LPA are real. There are recent reports of BIM Managers in Bengaluru pulling ₹21 to ₹25 LPA with 10 to 14 years of experience, and ₹28 to ₹32 LPA once they pass 15 years. Keep in mind these come from individual salary reports, not some official market average, so treat them as data points rather than a rule.

Salary by Industry and Location

Engineering and construction: Pay tends to be higher in larger engineering consultancies, EPC companies, infrastructure firms, and companies handling international BIM projects.
IT services and consulting: BIM roles also exist in this sector, particularly where companies provide BIM, VDC, digital engineering, or project delivery services. Salary depends heavily on the actual BIM scope of the role rather than the sector label alone.
Major BIM hubs: Bengaluru, Mumbai, Gurugram, Delhi, and other large AEC centres have more opportunities with global design and engineering firms. Recent salary data, for example, includes BIM Manager reports of ₹21–₹25 LPA in Bengaluru and around ₹20–₹21 LPA in Mumbai for experienced professionals.

The numbers should be read as market ranges rather than fixed salaries. A BIM Manager working on large infrastructure projects with international clients may be paid very differently from someone managing BIM for a smaller local firm. The same applies to someone specialising in MEP, infrastructure, BIM automation, or information management.
