Key Takeaways

Bengaluru currently has a large concentration of BIM and Revit jobs across AEC disciplines.
Chennai has strong demand in infrastructure, MEP, construction, and engineering BIM.
Hyderabad and Mumbai/Navi Mumbai have openings across building, structural, MEP, and multidisciplinary BIM.
Noida, Gurugram, and the wider Delhi NCR market have many civil, structural, and engineering BIM roles.
Pune has opportunities in Revit modeling, BIM design, and engineering roles.
Ahmedabad can be useful for entry-level candidates looking for architecture, structural, MEP, and construction BIM roles.
Kochi and Thiruvananthapuram have fewer openings, with some opportunities in engineering, infrastructure, and international AEC firms.
Employers hiring for BIM-related roles include WSP, L&T, Arcadis, AECOM, Jacobs, Mott MacDonald, Buro Happold, Assystem, COWI, Indovance, and RSP.
Entry-level candidates can search for roles such as BIM Modeler, BIM Technician, Revit Modeler, and BIM Trainee.
With more experience, searches should also include BIM Coordinator, BIM Engineer, BIM Lead, BIM/VDC Engineer, and BIM Consultant.
Searching for both the role and software, such as “BIM Modeler Revit,” can uncover jobs that do not mention Revit in the title.

For job seekers, opportunities in BIM/Revit are quite active right now. Especially if you have experience in Revit Architecture, Structure, MEP, or Civil/BIM coordination. Let’s understand about these opportunities in some depth:

Best cities to target

City	Opportunity	Advantage
Bengaluru	⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐	Largest concentration; ~843 Revit listings. Strong international engineering/BIM firms.
Chennai	⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐	Excellent for infrastructure, MEP and construction BIM; L&T, AECOM, COWI and others hiring.
Mumbai / Navi Mumbai	⭐⭐⭐⭐½	Strong architecture, infrastructure, structural and MEP demand. Arcadis, Reliance and others have active roles.
Hyderabad	⭐⭐⭐⭐½	Good mix of building, MEP and multidisciplinary BIM. Arcadis and Shapoorji Pallonji have current openings.
Noida / Delhi NCR	⭐⭐⭐⭐½	Particularly good for civil/structural BIM and large engineering consultancies.
Pune	⭐⭐⭐⭐	Good engineering/BIM market, including Revit modeling and BIM design-lead roles.
Ahmedabad	⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐	Useful for entry-level roles and lower competition
Thiruvananthapuram/Kochi	⭐⭐⭐⭐½	Some remote/hybrid and service-company opportunities

Companies worth targeting

Some of the employers currently showing BIM/Revit activity include WSP, Larsen & Toubro, Arcadis, AECOM, Jacobs, Mott MacDonald, Buro Happold, Assystem, COWI, Indovance and RSP.

There are also some particularly relevant current examples:

Buro Happold, Bengaluru: BIM Modeller
Mott MacDonald, Bengaluru/Noida: Structural BIM Modeller
Arcadis, Hyderabad/Navi Mumbai: BIM Modeler
L&T, Chennai: BIM Modeller and HVAC BIM Modeller
Assystem, Gurugram/Haryana: BIM Modeler / Civil-Revit
Jacobs, Pune: Assistant Designer – BIM
Indovance, Pune: Revit Modeler
WSP, Noida/Bengaluru: BIM Modeler / Junior BIM Technician
Balfour Beatty, Bengaluru: BIM Modeler – Civil 3D
Virtual Building Studio Inc, Ahmedabad: BIM Modeler
Rector Engineering, Kochi: BIM Modeler

Where to focus?

If your goal is to find the highest number of BIM and Revit opportunities, prioritize the cities roughly like this:

Bengaluru
Chennai
Hyderabad
Mumbai/Navi Mumbai
Noida/Gurugram
Pune
Ahmedabad
Kochi/Thiruvananthapuram

Bengaluru stands out in particular. Current job searches show 800+ BIM and Revit-related openings across architecture, structural, civil, MEP and infrastructure roles. Chennai, Hyderabad, Mumbai and the NCR region also have a wide range of BIM jobs.

Ahmedabad is worth considering too, especially for candidates looking at architecture, structural, MEP and construction-related BIM roles. Kochi and Thiruvananthapuram have a smaller job market, but they do have BIM and Revit opportunities, particularly through engineering, infrastructure and international AEC firms. They make more sense if location is also a factor in your job search.

If you’re entry-level, search for:

Junior BIM Modeler
BIM Technician
Revit Modeler
Junior Revit Architect
BIM Trainee
Assistant BIM Designer

If you have 3–7+ years of experience, don’t limit your search to “Revit Modeler.” Also look for:

BIM Coordinator
BIM Engineer
BIM Lead
BIM/VDC Engineer
Senior BIM Modeler
Revit Specialist
BIM Consultant

The reason is simple: many current BIM jobs use Revit as a core tool without putting “Revit Modeler” in the job title. Searching by role and software together will give you a much wider set of openings.
